In retrospect quite an amazing day. I had worked hard over the last two days getting the Blues Fest PA ready to donate to Doug Butler who is now putting on Blues Fest with the help of myself and others. I had to dig some of the stuff out of the bottom of the stack so it was tiring.

First thing in the morning my neighbor and I took my Fender Rhodes to the Youth Building for the NJHB show tomorrow night. We set it up to test it and all the keys were stuck after over ten years of unuse. Fortunately with a little cautious poking about they became unstuck and the piano worked much like it did before. So chalk one up to the durability of the Fender Rhodes stage piano.

While waiting for Doug to come with his truck for the PA Fed Ex pulled up with the oil for my car that I was supposed to pick up on Wednesday at Walmart. So I topped off my oil immediately making me feel better about driving the car.

They came for the PA and with very little work on my part we loaded it into the truck. I followed them out to the Craighead Forest Bandshell and we started testing stuff. Of course, nothing worked at first until I got adequate levels out of my little mixer. At first we thought one of the speakers wasn't working but when we turned it away from the other speake we could tell they were both working. So that's one power amp, and two speakers checked out. The first power amp played through both outputs with a single input cable.

The other power amp worked too but with only the left input it would only play through the left speaker. So we hooked up the right input and both channels played.

So again, hurray for the durability of professional PA equipment, still working after over ten years in storage.

I took a well deserved nap and then Megan and I drove down to Little Rock to see my grandkids in the play, Newsies. We also had a great visit so all in all as days go I label this one of the best!
