Collaborate on "Blue Goose" Recorded December 7, 2021
"Blue Goose" is a modal blues in G minor. It has a Boogie Woogie feel so guest soloists can play the blues or jazz it up.
Here's a script for collaboration. This is only a suggestion. I encourage guest soloists to play where they are inspired and lay out where they think best. But if you want to get right into it without having to listen and take notes you can start here.
1 head
2-4 guest soloist
5-7 piano solo
8-9 guest soloist
10 head and 4 bar ending
The chorus numbers show on the upper left of the video. This version of "Blue Goose" starts on chorus 1 so their are 10 choruses total. The song length is 12:11.
Guest soloist should play on the head parts and the ending. Comp, play in unison, harmony, or a counterpoint duet. Whatever you feel. The head out should be different than the head in.
Optionally the guest soloist can lay out on some of the bridges during their solos giving the bridge to the piano.
The guest should lay out on the piano solos letting the ensemble fall back to the piano trio sound.
