(I click the play button, nothing happens). Tried in LibreWolf and chromium, tried the player on both schedule page and /listen page. Oh, and I also tried the VLC stream thing. Nada.
Maybe there's one weird trick I don't know about, but I wonder how people manage to listen to this thing.

and I click on the play button and it plays. I'm glad you tried different browsers. Are you using Linux? have you checked your mixer?

This is how I listen to anonradio. In a terminal.
mplayer
http://anonradio.net:8000/anonradio
This uses mplayer to play the stream.

Don't give up. anonradio is great. The shows are all made by volunteers representing all kinds of genres and talk formats.
anonradio also has an archive where you can listen to past shows.
Another similar internet station is tilderadio.
